Is Earth a Prison Planet? My Take.
On occasion, this idea pops up on spiritual platforms: that planet Earth is a place where souls are spiritually imprisoned, and that some groups, entities, empires etc., subjugated divergent individuals by condemning them to incarnating on Earth without awareness of their past.
And last but not least, the idea that when you cross over the Light you see is a trap, a gateway to deceive you and propagate this imprisonment.
So I wanted to write about this matter. Is Earth a prison planet? This article focuses on this type of perspective specifically.
For any sort of group in the Cosmos to use Earth carrying out an agenda that affects the spiritual layers of humanity, meant they had have gained control over the Earth’s metaphysical systems at their core. They’d have to gone beyond the Free Will trials taking place within the hologram, to affecting the background mechanisms by which the hologram itself runs.
I’ve performed readings of the spiritual background of individuals for over a decade at the time of writing, sometimes tracing the person’s Starseed past before Earth in the Cosmos at large. Through the course of my work, I never came across any glimpse of a large scale plot where the Earth’s metaphysical systems were compromised, encounter anyone condemned to be on Earth, or feel the metaphysical layers of Earth were functioning by anything other than the principles of the Light. All I’ve seen, including anything having to do with the afterlife, how souls spend their time between lives, and how their spiritual lessons match their incarnated experiences, contemplates things on the metaphysical working in a sound fashion.
That is not to say there aren’t plenty of malevolent and dark influences on Earth. It’s also not to say there aren’t a myriad of stories and spiritual backgrounds for those who’ve found themselves trapped in reincarnation here. Further, plenty of memories of empires, wars, rebellions, and drama to draw from in the Akashic Records. But I have no reason to look any sort of idea of a grand plot that could affect the Light and Its designations for the planet, with any degree of seriousness.
The Light is still the Light. It’s the driving force of alignment with Source, the remembrance of why we projected outward to explore Creation, the designations of our deepest soul questions and lessons, and the pathway by which we can find the way Home. And the Light is still what you should walk towards at the end of the incarnation, otherwise your spiritual energy will become stuck, bound to near-Earth planes where it no longer belongs.
In my mind, the belief the Light is a trap and we’re all stuck on Earth against our will, while a direct subversion of what is, most likely stems from a level of deep spiritual dissatisfaction: with the Earth experience, with being trapped reincarnating going over, with the trauma and anguish of being here, and with the overall low standards and the levels of sustained pressure, suffering, and separation of the Earth’s third Density.
In that regard, as a reaction it’s somewhat understandable: it comes from a collective consciousness, ultimately Cosmic but asleep and disconnected, slowly waking up to their spiritual origins – and contrasting those origins with the current human condition on Earth.
That being said, it’s also a fear-based perspective that gives away your spiritual accountability. Your path results from your accumulated choices present and past – even if from past-lives you don’t remember – a premise applicable any participant in a Free Will system. Thus all spiritual healing will eventually necessitate a level of willingness to stop running away/avoiding, to go within and face head-on your own inner world. But blaming one’s state on some vague, distant bogeyman, while convenient, is the opposite motion to this. It establishes you as a powerless victim cheaply giving your responsibility away to the enemies and villains of your story. When true spirituality involves reclaiming your sovereignty back by recognizing where external circumstances match your inner world, even if it may look like you’ve lost said sovereignty. You didn’t lose it because of some empire casting you to a prison; you lost it because of your karma. You lost it because of sequences of events stemming from spiritual dynamics unfolding within, where you lost consciousness of who you are. To deny this is nothing but a step in the wrong direction and a delaying of your own evolution.
This perspective also completely ignores and shuns the Light-based hierarchies, the Light and support from the Galactic Federation around Earth, the Ascended Masters in service to Earth, and the service of your Higher Self’s spiritual entourage in support of your journey on behalf of your soul’s directives. And also of the Archangels, angels, and angelic hierarchies who have remained in support and custodians of the Earth experience and all those involved throughout it all. Believing you’re incarcerated against your will by an evil empire is spitting in the fact of all those who even as we speak continue to work on your behalf, even when you choose to not trust or not believe in them.
But here is where, in my mind, this perspective is deceptively insidious, perhaps than what it might appear at first glance. Where it might cross the line from an angsty reaction part of the growing pains of an expanding consciousness, to a potentially dangerous belief incurring in serious risk.
Your path is directed by your choices and awareness at all times, and this includes in spiritual terms, when you’re not on this Earth, and also when you cross over at the end of the incarnation. Now, if you’ve been convinced of, and you truly uphold to yourself, seeing the Light as an enemy, when you cross over at the incarnation end (or when you witness the Light in general, figuratively speaking) you might be prone to turn away from It, convinced it’s what leads you to continue to become trapped in the reincarnation cycles and in the Earth experience.
But the Light is precisely what allows you to detach from the Earth’s experience, gain distance, spend some time not involved in it, and figure out your next steps from a higher perspective. For this reason, heading towards the Light is what you’re supposed to do as a spiritual entity when you complete an incarnation; it is the one and only thing you “should” do. Conversely, turning away from it will lead you to become indefinitely bound to the near-Earth realms and the physical plane without belonging here, in a state of anguish and loss of awareness, without resolution. Because that resolution can only come from heading towards the Light. Thus, ironically enough, believing the Light is what imprisons you on Earth, might, or has the potential to, create indeed an imprisonment for you: that of becoming spiritually stuck in a state of spiritual earthbound limbo – and ever more prolonging your own process of spiritual healing and regaining of sovereignty.
Looking at Earth being a prison planet and the Light as a trap is the spiritual equivalent of flat Earth. It’s simply a false and potentially dangerous belief.
The above notwithstanding, I consider there are two ways by which you can perhaps see Earth’s reality as being somewhat like a prison. Not necessarily in the metaphysical sense, but in a way.
The first is that the human being is bound so a system of tacit slavery through scarcity-based economic systems. I mean it in a literal sense: Man is enslaved for as long as the individual needs to “earn a living“.
The pressure this system enacts reaches the individual through the incessant need to pay the bills or loans you took just in order to exist. It is in the perpetual state of inflation shrinking the value of salaries and gains, and in the need for incessant economic and demographic growth. It’s in the squeeze you feel pushing you to hustle and “adult” or running the risk of becoming homeless/destitute. It’s in the dread of falling behind in a race that doesn’t have safety nets nor mercy to those at the bottom of the ladder.
I believe it’s possible to devise systems that can provide every human being i) healthy and varied food comfortably meeting and covering their needs of sustenance, ii) adequate health services and iii) comfortable shelter, not as theoretical rights of access on a charter but as necessary conditions for human existence. I believe all the wealth and resources to do so already exist but are woefully distributed on the systemic level. I also don’t have anything against money, only how the system distributes it. I believe the moment the system does not impose need to earn a living for the individual to exist with dignity, poverty is all but eliminated, crime of all types is greatly reduced, and the human being’s condition is raised to a new level. And I believe we technologically and organizationally walk on Earth more and more where this scenario becomes feasible, and the more it will be so the more time goes on.
There’s nothing wrong with technology and AI gradually taking away the need for the human being to work. In fact, as societies evolve they’re supposed to head that way: to more and more freeing the individual to devote their to their interests and passion and meaning-based pursuits. And yet, here we are concerned is AI is taking away jobs and money-earning opportunities. Who said you need to have a job in the first place? The culprit is neither technology or AI: it is in a system stubbornly designed with industrial-era principles where the masses are kept in check by living their lives in precarity.
It’s perfectly fine to hold every human being accountable to expect them to contribute in some way. But if their existence hinges on a forceful obligation to do so when that is contrary to the progress of civilization, then it’s simply slavery with another name. It creates an ongoing background pressure on the individual level that will create dissonance between passion and necessity, almost always remove inner meaning from the equation, and have parents and teachers becoming the propagators of that system by indoctrinating their children. Thus it is the need to work that keeps the human being imprisoned and what most resembles the notion of this reality being akin to a prison – not some machinations behind the veil by an abstract evil entity.
This is always something you can argue or justify against. But all things considered you’ll simply be one more voice postponing advancement. Any changes that would have us head towards these improvements are hinging solely on collective consciousness realizing them as evident; the more we look away from the future, the longer it takes for it to happen.
The second way is karma.
The Earth is not a prison in a literal sense. But it is a mutually-agreed metaphysical/spiritual stipulation when coming into thus test that whatever karma you’ve accumulated here must be healed here. The logic is, so that the metaphysical setting ensures you leave it spiritually better than how you left, and, conversely, you can’t leave it in a worse state.
Karma here should not be understood as “punishment for bad deeds” but as a requirement to heal any separation your soul carries by choices made in the past, that have enacted that separation upon you. From that point on you carry your karmic attributes with you everywhere you go until you heal them, which you do by bringing back which became separated unto the self. Mind you, this is not an attempt to sugarcoat it: karma is a purely bad thing. It’s made of darkness, and healing it involved putting you face to face with that darkness. So it’s never a positive, rather always a negative thing to go through.
When in a lifetime you bring karmic attributes to heal (technically it’s in most if not all, but in some you might bring more than in others) you can do so to such an extent that the overall experience is or becomes so heavy, and so inescapable, that your personal experience can, and will, feel like a prison.
Keep in mind I’m not an apologist for suffering, or the way we seem to learn through suffering (by experiencing separation). An interesting “meta” objective in designing and participating in these systems would be to come up with ways to permits spiritual learning without incurring in the risk of such difficult feedback. In the meantime, this is simply how this system has been setup at this time. So this is the second way planet Earth can, at points, seem like a prison.
